Are you nervous about speaking in front of a group? Do you want to build your self-confidence and feel more comfortable explaining your ideas? Are you interested in improving your communication skills but you don’t have the time or money to commit to one of those costly seminars? Then we have a great deal for you. Beginning January 12th at 7:15pm, the Kanata Toastmasters Club will begin a six-week interactive seminar during their regular club meetings. During these sessions, you will learn proven techniques to enhance your speaking skills and overcome nervousness.

You will have several opportunities to practice skills learned through the educational sessions provided each week. You will learn how to control your body gestures, use your voice more effectively, organize your thoughts quickly, as well as take charge and effectively run an efficient meeting.

Toastmasters is an international, educational organization that focuses on making effective oral communication a worldwide reality. The Kanata Toastmasters club is interested in helping their community become part of this reality.

This six-week course will run each Thursday evening from 7:15 to 9:15pm January 12th to February 16th. The cost is $60 and will cover all materials. The Kanata Toastmasters club meets at the Parks & Recreation building SS#1 in the Kanata Lakes area at 400 Goldridge Drive (old school house).
